Meals Week 1: Slow Cooker

I love the slow cooker.  Dump, Start, Forget.  Even better when the have the built in timers!  One pan meals are a great side effect as well.

This coming week I will be making slow cooker:

Beef Pot Roast and Vegetables

Beef Roast, McCormick Pot Roast Slow Cooker Seasoning pack, chopped onion, potatoes, carrots, maybe bag of frozen assorted vegetables.

Georgia-Style Barbecued Turkey Sandwiches

Recipe from Pillsbury Slow Cooker Recipes pg:150.  Imagine shredded turkey with light bbq-ish spicy sauce topped with coleslaw on a bun.

McCormick Slow Cooker Italian Herb Chicken

Recipe from McCormick.com.

Partly Homemade Clam Chowder

1-2 cans of favorite chowder, one can condensed cream mushroom soup and indicated amount of water, chopped vegetables, clams, salt, pepper, any additional seasonings I may fancy that day.

This should be enough full meals to feed us with leftovers on the other days.  I add salads and breads as extras usually, just depends.  If you’re looking for the Georgian Turkey Recipe I bet you can find the book at your local library or a similar recipe online.  My list is just an idea starter for you.  Here’s to plenty of tasty meals this upcoming week!
